Markdown Generator

The Markdown Generator skill creates well-structured Markdown documents from natural language descriptions, data inputs, or existing content in other formats. Generate technical documentation, README files, changelogs, meeting notes, and specification documents with properly formatted headings, lists, code blocks, and tables. Table generation accepts raw data — CSV paste, JSON arrays, or verbal descriptions — and produces correctly formatted Markdown tables with alignment options. Mermaid diagram generation creates flowcharts, sequence diagrams, Gantt charts, and entity-relationship diagrams from plain language descriptions, rendered inline as code blocks compatible with GitHub, Notion, and Obsidian. Conversion from HTML, Word document text, or plain prose to clean Markdown is supported in both directions. The skill can reformat existing Markdown that has inconsistent heading levels, broken link references, or mixed indentation styles. Frontmatter (YAML metadata) generation for static site generators like Astro, Jekyll, and Hugo is built in. Output can be sent directly to the Obsidian skill for vault storage or to the GitHub skill for committing to a repository.
