Todoist skill exposes the full Todoist REST API to your Claude agent, enabling sophisticated task and project management through natural conversation. Create tasks using Todoist's natural language date parsing — write 'Submit report every Friday at 5pm' and the skill sets the recurrence correctly. Organize tasks into projects, add labels, set priority levels (P1–P4), and assign tasks to collaborators on shared projects.

The skill handles Todoist's section system, so you can maintain organized project boards with tasks grouped by phase or category. Filter queries are supported: ask for 'all overdue P1 tasks in the Work project' and get a precise filtered view. Karma and streak data is accessible too, which some users incorporate into habit-tracking automations.

A typical power use: connect Todoist with your email agent — when an email requires action, the agent automatically creates a Todoist task with the email subject, relevant deadline, and a link back to the thread. Another popular pattern is end-of-week review automation: the agent fetches all completed tasks from the past 7 days, formats them into a weekly accomplishments summary, and adds next week's priority tasks based on upcoming deadlines. Requires a Todoist API token from todoist.com — the free Todoist plan provides full API access for personal use.
