File Manager

The File Manager skill gives your AI agent comprehensive control over your local and networked file system, enabling complex file operations through natural language. Copy, move, rename, and delete files and directories with pattern matching and dry-run previews before destructive operations execute. Recursive search by name, extension, size, date modified, or content string finds files across large directory trees quickly. Bulk rename operations support regex patterns and sequential numbering — for example, 'rename all JPEGs in this folder to project-001.jpg, project-002.jpg...'. Duplicate file detection identifies copies by hash and proposes cleanup. Sync two directories bidirectionally or one-way, with conflict resolution rules you configure. Compressed archive creation and extraction support ZIP, TAR.GZ, and 7Z formats. Scheduled backups can be configured via the Cron skill with incremental or full-copy modes. File organization rules let you set up automatic sorting — 'move all PDF files downloaded today to the Documents/Receipts folder'. All destructive operations require explicit confirmation and maintain a trash bin for recovery within the session.
